Plan Commission Meeting
January 16, 2012
Present: Chairperson Daniel H. Schmidt, Commissioner Tom Schoofs, Commissioner William S. Butzlaff Commissioner Victoria Heideman, Commissioner Jane Korth, Supervisor Scott Wollner, Nancy Boden, zoning secretary, and 5 concerned citizens
Absent: Commissioner John Duren,
Notices: Kewaskum Statesman, West Bend Daily News, WBKV & WTKM Radio stations.
Notices Posted: Posting Boards at the Kewaskum Community Center, Van Vechtin Cemetery, and Buffalo Cemetery
• Chairperson Schmidt called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 7:00pm
• The meeting was properly posted and noticed, Pledge was recited, Roll Call was taken
• Moved by Schmidt/Korth to accepted the minutes from November 21, 2011 , motion carried by voice vote 6-0

Concept Plan by Vern Weidmeyer, T8-0480, Ridge Road
Mr. Weidmeyer handed out a concept plan to divide the house and buildings (5acres) off of his 40 acre parcel. Plan Commission stated that he would have to rezone to A-1 and should speak with Matt Hahm, the town’s engineer to make sure that an additional driveway was allowed. Twenty feet is required between driveways and a driveway must be 10 feet from the lot line.
It was the consensus that if a driveway was allowed the plan commission would be in favor of this land division.
Concept Plan by Don Stern, T8-0050-00A, E. Moraine Drive
• Chair Schmidt appointed Supervisor Wollner as chair for this agenda discussion. Mr. Schmidt left the table at 7:20pm.
Plan Commission members reviewed the concept plan of Mr. Stern to divide a parent parcel into 4 parcels. The plan commission asked about the small wedge of land that seems to be undesignated to any lot, this needs to be addressed. Mr. Stern was told to contact the town’s engineer, Matt Hahm, to find out if driveways would be allowed on each of the parcels. There are no buildings located on any of the lots.
Supervisor Wollner asked Mr. Stern is the taxes that were due would be paid; Mr. Stern stated that that is a county issue. The plan commission’s consensus was that all the requirements of A-1 are met as far as the lot size and widths of the lots and get the questions answered Mr. Stern could move forward.

Amending Lot Size Requirement in the various zoning districts
Supervisor Otten asked the plan commission if they would consider lowering the lot size requirements. He was approached by a resident that was looking for smaller lot sizes.

• Moved by Schmidt/Schoofs to adjourn the plan commission meeting, motion carried by voice vote 6-0
