Town Board Meeting
January 16, 2012
Present: Chairperson Daniel H. Schmidt, Supervisor Michael Otten, Supervisor Scott Wollner, Treasurer Daniel Stoffel, Clerk Nancy Boden, and 5 concerned citizens
Absent: none
• Chairperson Schmidt called the town board meeting to order at 7:45pm
• The Meeting was properly posted and noticed
Notices Posted: Posting boards at the Town of Kewaskum Community Center, at the Van Vechtin and Buffalo Cemeteries
Notices: Kewaskum Statesman, West Bend Daily News, Radio Stations WBKV & WTKM
• Pledge of Allegiance was recited
• Roll Call was taken
• Moved by Schmidt/Wollner to approve the town board minutes from December 19, 2011, motion carried by voice vote 3-0
Public Comment
none
New Agent Appointment for Kleinke, Inc. Trade Name: Amerahn
• Moved by Schmidt/Wollner to appoint Marie Kleinke as the new agent to Kleinke, Inc., motion carried by voice vote 3-0
Rent Town Hall to non-resident without resident co-signer
• Moved by Schmidt/Otten that due to liability issues no changes will be made to the hall rental application, there must be a town resident co-signer, motion carried by voice vote 3-0
Winter Maintenance Issues on Forest View Road, E. Moraine to Hwy H
The chair explained that on January 2nd and 3rd very dangerous icy conditions were present on Forestview Road, Many complaints were received from residents. This road is the Town of Farmington’s responsibility and the chair could not get in touch with anyone from the Town of Farmington board; feeling that it was a dangerous situation he sent a plow truck out to sand/salt the road. The Town of Farmington will be billed for this work. The chair from Farmington, Chris Elbe, was in attendance and stated that he should be contacted on his cell phone and that he takes full responsibility for the icy conditions of the roads.
REPORTS
Sunburst Retention Pond Expansion by Supervisor Wollner
Supervisor Wollner stated that he has reviewed the Sunburst file and spoke with Jim Engel from Sunburst. Sunburst wants to expand a pond on the property and in 2008 was denied this by the town. Mr. Wollner will be contacting the town engineer to see what the issue for denial was. Will report back to the board in February
Driveways with clearance issues for emergency vehicles by Chair Schmidt
There are three residents that have trees, brush, etc that is lower that 12 feet in height and narrower that 15 feet wide from the center of the driveway. Mr. Schmidt will be contacting these residents informing them of the issue. Will report back to the board in February
Road Maintenance by Chairperson Schmidt
• Brushing is currently being done
• Kettleview Bridge SE side, creek wall has been created
• Due to personal issues Eric Schladweiler has quit working for the town
• Plowing is going well and sand is being delivered by Hartman Sand on an as needed basis
• International truck did need some repair work done.
• Volunteer’s doing some brushing

o Rick Schoofs – Oak Road
Recycling Center by Chairperson Schmidt
The new recycling hours are working out well. A freezer, sofa and love seat have been picked up, they were dumped by an unknown individual
Farmland Preservation by Supervisor Otten
Nothing to report at this time, will report again in February
Engineer’s Report
none
Building Permits and Inspections Performed
Board members reviewed the inspection reports, no building permits were issued in December

County Supervisor’s Report
County Supervisor Stoffel has no report
County Supervisor Bausch reported that$90,262.00 was saved due to video conferencing between the sheriff department and prisioners.
Clerk Report
The clerk asked Supervisor Otten and Chairperson Schmidt if they plan to attend the board of review training that will be held during the next Town Association’s district meeting, at least one member of the BOR must attend the training each year.
Correspondence
Letter was received from the village of Kewaskum inviting the town board to attend a meeting on storm water issues
