Plan Commission Meeting
October 17, 2011
Present: Chairperson Daniel H. Schmidt, Commissioner Tom Schoofs, Commissioner Victoria Heideman, Commissioner Jane Korth, Supervisor Scott Wollner, Nancy Boden, zoning secretary, and 2 concerned citizens
Absent: Commissioner John Duren, Commissioner William S. Butzlaff
Notices: Kewaskum Statesman, West Bend Daily News, WBKV & WTKM Radio stations.
Notices Posted: Posting Boards at the Kewaskum Community Center, Van Vechtin Cemetery, and Buffalo Cemetery
• Chairperson Schmidt called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 7:00pm
• The meeting was properly posted and noticed.
• Pledge was recited
• Roll Call was taken
• Moved by Schoofs/Wollner to accepted the minutes from August 15,2011 , motion carried by voice vote 5-0
Public Comment
None
Amending Chapter 18, requiring a CSM for all land divisions
Plan commission members reviewed the zoning administrator, Jeffery Sanders, staff report
• Moved by Heideman/Schmidt, to require a CSM (certified survey map) on all land divisions regardless of lot size based on the staff report by Jeffery Sanders and the recommendations of the town’s engineer require, motion carried by voice vote 5-0.
Mr. Sanders will be contacted to make the necessary changes to Chapter 18 and the plan commission will review the proposed amendments at its next meeting.
Clarification of 14.12(2), in regards to need of licensed electrician
The building inspector asks for clarification on whether a resident may do his/her own electrical work on the service box, (bringing in a new service, updating a service). He feels that a licensed electrician is needed. The code is vague on this subject
It was the consensus of the plan commission that a licensed electrician is needed to install or change a service panel. This is be added to Chapter 14 and brought back to the plan commission for final approval.
Amending 17.13(5), in regards to changing existing buildings
This code section conflicts with the newly created 17.15(10)
The plan commission’s consensus was to strike 17.13(5) and make a reference to look in 17.15(10). This will be changed and brought back to the plan commission at its next meeting.
Amending 17.15(10), in regards to limiting small amendments to site plan
The plan commission decided to leave the code as it, with the possibility of future review if issues arise.

• Moved by Schoofs/Schmidt to adjourn the plan commission meeting, motion carried by voice vote 5-0
